Ever since Nintendo of Japan found out that Minors have been sending Incorporate content online via Swapnote and Flipnote Studio 3D’s Flipnote Gallery: World and Flipnote Gallery: Friends they have been a little quite on releasing the application to the public of Europe and the Americas. This resulted in the discontinuation of Swapnote, and Flipnote Gallery: Friends. Nintendo has been really shy on saying anything for months now on Flipnote Studio 3D’s release date for Europe and the Americas. Could this be because they simply don’t want to release it and are trying not to break their fan’s hearts? One thing that’s for sure is that Nintendo can not afford to lose their fan base on Flipnote Hatena (A service on the DSI that was ended) which had about 1 million plus fans worldwide.

Nintendo of Japan has had an update to the Flipnote Studio 3D application more than once.
In the months after Flipnote Studio 3D’s release in Japan, the application went through many things such as bug fixes, force updates, ect.
Nintendo’s servers weren’t able to handle the large traffic of people downloading the application in Japan. This resulted in the application being delayed in the Americas and Europe.
The North America and European websites for Flipnote Studio 3D rarely change.
Nintendo of the Americas and Europe have remove Flipnote Studio 3D from future releases in the eShop for reasons unknown.
All this could mean that either
Nintendo will NOT release Flipnote Studio 3D
Nintendo will try to work some things out and plan on how minors will behave online (due to the all new force on the Parental Controls) and/or release it this year (hopefully).

So, when will Flipnote Studio 3D come out? At this point, we do not know. What we do know however is that Nintendo is trying their best to localize, and solve the problem of minors' actions on their services.
