And I can understand why Nintendo needed to push back dates, it makes sense that they wanted to fix things. My problem is just that... I'm pretty sure it doesn't take over a year to fix some of the issues they had and release the software. Not to mention, Japan is apparently getting updates and contests and other countries like the US or European countries still have no release date; and heck we haven't heard a single word from Nintendo about it's release date or progress since they decided to push the date back. Needing to wait so they can fix issues is completely understandable; going a year without even bringing up such an anticipated software in the US and Europe while they're doing a whole bunch of stuff in Japan is just annoying. According to the upcoming games list for the UK, it almost looks like Flipnote 3D will be released sometime 2015. But honestly if this keeps going on, I might just sell my 3DS cuz it's in good condition; there'll be better art opportunities and video games on the WiiU anyway, tbh. One of the main reasons I bought my 3DS was in hopes of Flipnote 3D coming out, and honestly I've heard the same from a lot of others. I mean their sales for the 3DS went way up once they shut down FH, and everyone (at least in Japan) moved to Flipnote 3D; like I said a lot of people bought a 3DS because of Flipnote. I mean they reason they pushed dates back was because of overcrowding. Idk. It just bugs me that they've gone so long without saying anything at all about the software, I was really looking forward to it.
I know someone (and have heard of others) who have emailed Nintendo about Flipnote 3D and whether or not they're canceling it, and they apparently told my friend that while they haven't confirmed when they're releasing it, they also haven't confirmed that they're canceling it either. Really don't know how to feel about such a vague response.
And I know Nintendo is Japanese so obviously most of their stuff is going to be done for Japan first but giving them updates and contests while we don't even get a word is like.... I don't really know... Honestly, something about just this whole thing feels off. :/
