Yeah, I have a hard time making realistic looking smoke effects. Any advice?

Maybe shade the smoke, and make it spread apart.

I feel like getting into Flash soon, and being involved at other sites instead of just staying in the Flipnote area. Way more features and flexibility with Flash too.

I feel like getting into Flash soon, and being involved at other sites instead of just staying in the Flipnote area. Way more features and flexibility with Flash too. I would use flash but it's too expensive for me...plus getting a tablet makes the cost even more. I'm using flipnote 'cause it's the cheapest alternative i know of to animate on. $12 a year? That's cheap. |

It could be a good investment; that is true..But when I think about it, I'm not planning to major in animating or anything...I just like animating in general, therefore I feel the cost of flash is too high to use it simply for entertainment. I can see that if you're really devoted to making great animations then flash is a good buy. Just my thoughts.

To me it's a matter of if I'll use it a lot, and how devoted I'd be to make animations. The soonest I'd buy it will probably be mid-2014, and my decision to buy Flash could easily sway. I also have to really see what Flipnote Studio 3DS has to offer. If I'm really satisfied with it, I may not even buy Flash. |
