For that battle, your best suited poke'mon will be Kohlrabi, Stephen, and Tandoori. If Durian knows some good rock-type moves, he will be of good use.

Now I'm thinking I should update as I'm playing because 90% the time I'm already done with the part of the game you're advising me on by the time I read it, Draco, sorry. I'll probably update like this later today. also no, durian does not have any rock type moves, and the only moves that kohlrabi had that could work are copycat, return, and force palm.
Anyway~ Stephen pretty much swept Skyla's entire gym by himself. I caught a Litwick at Celestial Tower and named her Mary.
Caught Orivile (sp?) the Drifblim at Reversal Mountain, now going to the Strange House to see what I can get there and then go through Reversal Mountain to Undella Town.
Current (as of this post) Team Kohlrabi/Lucario lvl 35 Miller/Leavanny lvl 32 Mary/Litwick lvl 30 Stephen/Magnezone lvl 43 Durian/Sandslash lvl 38 Orivile/Drifblim lvl 32 (replacing Igneous, see update below team roster)
Fast Update; Igneous has died to a Critical Hit Air Slash from an Unfezant in a trainer battle. i hate unfezants aaaa now i've lost two of my pokemon to them

So, no more Volcoana. And I have no idea who Igneouse is. Its not listed in any previouse post. Also, the next gym battle is dragon type. The only weakness is Dragon and Ice type moves. Dragon types are meant to be effective against the main 5 types(Fire, water, grass, normal, electric). As fire, water, grass, and electric moves are not very effective. So, half the party is inaffective. But, Lucario learn Dragon Pulse. That will be your greatest asset. But another but to but in with all the buts I have put in to but in your way of succesfuly kicking butt. Lucario learn Dragon Pulse at level 47. Thats about the level s/he should be when you get to gym 8 unfortunatly.

Yah, I just realized I didn't mention Igneous at all. He was the Relic Passageway catch. I guess I forgot about him, mostly because he was kinda the Strength slave, so.... eh.
Iblis didn't die, he actually turned kinda useless so he's just in storage until I find some TMs to teach him better moves with. I found the TM for Psychic so he has that now, at least.
Anyway, after about five edits and if the rest of this post's texts is sliding or disappears or wont let me edit anything I swear i'm gonna Edit again; Okay, so I completely re-typed everything. IF IT'S STILL SLIDING TO THE LEFT I'M GONNA
Team (now with movesets) Kohlrabi the Lucario lvl 52 (Shadow Ball, Bone Rush, Aura Sphere, Ice Punch) i'm gonna see about getting him dragon pulse, I think i accidentally made him not learn it. Also, Move Tutors are awesome. Mary the Chandelure lvl 53 (Flame Burst, Psychic, Inferno, Shadow Ball) Stephen the Magnezone lvl 46 (Flash Cannon, Spark, Charge Beam, Screech) Egurite the Bisharp lvl 52 (Iron Head, Night Slash, Dual Chop, Iron Defense) Again, Move Tutors are awesome. and yes i know bisharp learns iron head naturally, i used the move tutor to teach it to her as a pawniard
Bodycount - 5 Strawberry the Patrat Kracie the Raticate Clement the Dewott Igneous the Boldore Durian the Sandslash
In the PC Patrick the Staryu lvl 38 Miller the Leavanny lvl 44 Iblis the Volcaraona lvl 35 N's Zorua lvl 25 Antoinette the Vespiquen lvl 24 (rustling grass, breh. I freaked out a little bit when I saw her instead of yet another Audino. Since I wasn't planning on actually catching in Lostlorn Forest I just forced some rustling grass to appear instead of trying to find a catch.)

So your active party is 4?, I LOVE that your team is steel type! Steel type are the most imperviouse. My three favorite types are dragon, fire, and steel. I do have a like for ghost, but not like the other three. But steel type are a good solution against dragon type if you lack dragon and ice moves. However, gym eight is water type. And although its not super effective on steel, stell type moves aren't very effective. Don't forget to switch poke'mon out depending on attack, sp attack, defence, and sp defence. Haxorus has a low sp defence, so a alakazam could do major damage, but also has a low defence, so haxorus could ALSO do major damage. Keep watch of their stats, and a move with 10 attack will do more damage for a haxorus than a attack with 20 sp attack.

SO, it turns out that Lucario learns Dragon Pulse at level 60 and basically I used Kohlrabi for the entire fight against Drayden. I think everything was an OHKO.
And Stephen took care of pretty much the entire last Gym, though I switched out against the Jellicent because Scald was doing too much damage and he was getting burned all the time and I didn't have any burn heals.
I am now on the Plasma Frigate, taking care of some dudes. Also, I put Patrick on the team because I need a Water type and he needs to be leveled up. I also gave him the ExpShare so the risk of him dying while in battle for some exp is significantly less.
Team Egurite the Bisharp lvl 54 Stephen the Magnezone lvl 57 Kohlrabi the Lucario lvl 60 Mary the Chandelure lvl 53 Patrick the Staryu lvl 42
~Update!~ I totally forgot that the rest of it took place in the Giant Chasm, so let's go there because otherwise the game's story won't continue. Route 21 Catch (because I somehow avoided running across a Pokemon on the way to Seaside cave) Takoyaki the Remoraid lvl 40 I failed to catch my encounter for Route 22 before I challenged the Gym, so nothing there for me.
will update more when i get back from going shopping for things.

I decided to count the Giant Chasm cave and the outside/Crater Forest as seperate areas, because why not? The Giant Chasm *cave* encounter was a Solrock, which I skipped because imo Solrock is kinda eehh The Crater Forest capture is Manfred the Piloswine lvl 44. Also, I forgot Critical Captures exist.
Plasma Frigate time! Zinzolin was pretty much no problem. Protip; Steel types and Chandelure are awesome. Colress was also not much of a problem, though that Paralysis was annoying.
Pre-Ghetsis fight stats Mary the Chandelure lvl 55 Egurite the Bisharp lvl 55 Stephen the Magnezone lvl 59 Kohlrabi the Lucario lvl 61 Patrick the Staryu lvl 48
I will post the results tomorrow because I've gotta go sleep.

Ghetsis is no joke to fight. He will use these poke'mon in this order from first to last. Cofagrigus, Seismatoad, Electross, Drapion, Heidragon, Toxicroak. Don't forget you have to battle White Kyurem. Wwite Kyurem is weak to fighting and steel type moves. So, you should be able to pull out super effective moves. But, it knows that special fire type move. This move will likely wipe your steel types in a single move. It is also level 55. Mary can't do much damage to it, and same for it not doing much to her. So, it will be neck and neck in type match up. But it knows stronger fire moves than the steel or fighting moves you know, so that is a disadvantage. I doubt all your poke'mon will make it past White Kyurem. But Patrick can be very particularly useful. Don't forget that after that battle you still must face Ghetsis. And if you defeat him"But wait, there's more!" You haven't finished the nuzlocke until you have beaten the Elite 4 and the Unova Champion. So, are you ready for the real challenge?

Probably not, but I'm gonna try anyway! I'm gonna see about level grinding Patrick and evolving him into a Starmie.
in my run through of black 2 ghetsis was actually easier than he was in bw1, but then again i wasn't doing a nuzlocke.
also the black 2 champion battle was actually fairly easy but, again, i wasn't doing a nuzlocke.

You evolve Staru into Starmie with a water stone.

I already knew that, but it doesn't matter since Patrick has died to a random Solrock getting a critical hit off of Stone Edge. uurgggghhhh whyyy
Replacing him is Takoyaki the Remoraid (soon to be an Octillery, I imagine).
Other than that, though, not much has really happened as I've been too busy with life stuff to progress. will hopefully update further tomorrow.

And I then proceeded to disappear for three days. Anyway, after some level grinding on Takoyaki, I think I'll be okay for taking down Ghetsis and White Kyurem. I will see about not forgetting to update on how well/horribly it went. i still feel like renaming egurite, which i might do if she survives the upcoming battles. Team with movesets, abilities, held item (if any) and natures because it's an important battle, i'll also do this pre-e4, if i get there Takoyaki the Octillery lvl 55 - Nature- Quiet, has a sturdy body
- Ability- Sniper
- Hydro Pump
- Signal Beam
- Ice Beam
- Surf
Stephen the Magnezone lvl 59 - Nature- Hardy, highly persistent
- Ability- Sturdy
- Flash Cannon
- Spark (will replace with thunderbolt if he survives until i get the tm for it)
- Discharge
- Lock On
Kohlrabi the Lucario lvl 61
- Nature- Rash, strong willed
- Ability- Inner Focus
- Shadow Ball
- Dragon Pulse
- Aura Sphere
- Ice Punch
- Held Item- Shell Bell
Mary the Chandelure lvl 56 - Nature; Hardy, capable of taking hits
- Ability- Flame Body
- Shadow Ball
- Flame Burst (will replace with flamethrower eventually, hopefully)
- Inferno
- Psychic
Egurite the Bisharp lvl 56 - Nature- Quiet, scatters things often
- Ability- Defiant
- Iron Head
- Night Slash
- Dual Chop
- Iron Defense
- Held Item- Shell Bell
Quincey the Dunsparce lvl 25 - Strength Slave
- Probable cannon fodder
(updating as I go, so this post is gonna be LONG)
WHITE KYUREM FIGHT, GO! ......... well that was extremely anticlimactic, Kohlrabi took it out with a critical hit Aura Sphere. :/ WELL THEN. overleveled lucario is best lucario
DENNIS GHETSIS TIME!
Got his Sarcophaghost(not sure if the actual name of the thing is blocked on this forum due to unfortunate letter arrangement) to fairly low health, Psychic did surprisingly little damage to Kohlrabi (I guess his half-steel typing makes psychic type moves have neutral damage, and not super effective). Ghetsis then healed it the next turn, and Dragon Pulse did little damage to Sarcophaghost, but another Shadow Ball took it out the next turn.
Pause to decide on if I want to switch Kohlrabi or keep him in the fight against this Seismitoad. oooh, it has earthquake, doesn't it? tch....uh....if it's also level 50 i think i'll keep kohlrabi in...indeed it is level 50. First turn against Seismitoad, and Aurasphere did a decent amount of dama- OH MAN THAT EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE, I need to be careful against this thing. So the choice now is do I heal or do another Aura Sphere, since Kohlrabi can outspeed Seismitoad. uh.... Aura Sphere. THERE WE GO! Took out Seismitoad. Drapion, eh?...... GO, CANNON FODDER! I must heal Kohlrabi. bye, cannon fodder. *waves* dang i don't have any ground types/ground type moves. uh....Go, Takoyaki! Try to get a critcial hit Hydro Pump (or just a hydro pump)!.... well you did good anyway, Drapion's at low yellow health. And Night Slash isn't doing that much damage. Surf should finish it off.....yessss oh god eelektross. I remember having a hard time against this thing in my normal Black2 run. I'd be an idiot if I kept Takoyaki out, so yes, I will switch to....Mary, and hope Psychic does enough damage. cursed pokemon with no weaknesses. Well look at that, Critical Hit Psychic. And Mary outspeeded the Eelektross. Good job! hurr, acrobatics did very little damage. Flame burst could end it, if Dennis doesn't heal...and he doesn't. How bout that? Toxicroak? Mary can stay in. HAHAHA, hows that 4xweakness to Psychic going for ya? no contest, o.h.k.o'd the thing. Mary is boss. ooh, Hydreigon. uh....Yes, switch....to....Kohlrabi again. Ice Punch time. "What's this?! It's nothing like I expected!" I know what you mean, Dennis. i wasn't expecting to do so well at kicking your rear. And Dragon Pulse ends the fight. EPIC VICTORY! poor quincey, tho. i feel bad for using her as cannon fodder. t'was a noble sacrifice. ;-;7 Onwards to the Pokemon League! But first, I think I will actually re-name Egurite. If I can stop being an moron and get out of Giant Chasm, that would be great. Egurite has been renamed as 'Yuno'.

I'm pretty sure that Escape Ropes existed since very early in the games history. And it wouldn't help, anyway. Okay, I skipped the Route 23 encounter because dangit i don't want Amoongus. I'm counting each different area of Victory Road. That is, I'll split it into Entrance, Grove, Outside Cave, Inside Cave, Cliffside, and N's Castle Entrance. Entrance encounter; Banette, didn't catch because I didn't want it. Grove catch; Ikebana the Roselia Outside Cave encounter; Altaria (would've been Tranquill if not for the Dupes Clause), but I failed to catch it because I accidentally K.O'd it. Inside Cave catch; Obsidian the Onix Noooo, Takoyaki! ;-; Why are AceTrainers such jerkwads ;-; i can't seem to hold on to water types for very long in this nuzlocke, why is that?
Cliffside encounter; Gurdurr, didn't catch it because I accidentally K.O'd it.
Joining the team for training and E4 shenanigans are Undine the Frillish and Ikebana the Roselia.

I was saying that Roselia excel in is Platnium, not poke'mon in general. I can see why you thought that though.

The game that Pokemon excels at just happens to be Platinum Really? Cool. I'm assuming Roserade just wrecks everything, then. Also, Roselia + Toxic + Venoshock = boss. Oooh, if only Venoshock existed in Gen4, that would be so amazing.also, still level grinding. I feel like I need to get all my pokemon to level 60, maybe 62 or 64. luckily most of them are pretty close or even at it, just Ikebana and Undine need to be leveled up more. Edit; And Yuno (the re-named Bisharp) and Mary, too. And I should use my Shiny Stone on Ikebana at some point, too. Maybe after all the level grinding. Also, Undine evolved into Jellicent. SMALL UPDATE
Five more levels to go for Undine, three levels for Yuno, and I still have to evolve Ikebana.

Overall, how many poke'mon have you lost in nuzlocke's? I don't mean the two challenges you have spoke of on the forum. I mean ALL. Also, Luxray are a good asset in Platnium. And yes, Roserade DO wreck everything. No Biberal. And also, don't evolve Roselia A.S.A.P. Because Roserade doesn't learn new moves. Although, if you check the move tutor after every level, the Roserade might have a new move to remember. I don't guarentee it though. I am not sure hpw that works.
